Bone Figurine Knife- Nobleman

An eating knife with a hand carved bone handle featuring a nobleman holding a falcon. An interpretation of an original from Ribe, Denmark, this is one of a group of 40 bone figurine handled knives found across Europe, stretching from Bristol all the way to Novgorod (Moscow). Dated to the 14th-15th centuries, this is an elegant eating knife for a high status individual.
