Roman Folding Knife- "Hound"

Roman Folding Knife- "Hound"

Dogs are a common motif on folding knives found across the Roman Empire. Usually, they're depicted chasing rabbits in hunting scenes however this dog is at rest, sitting proudly in a position that just makes you want to say "good dog."

This particular reproduction is my take on an example from the Archeological Museum, Dijon.  The blade is traditionally hand forged and made from laminated iron with a steel cutting edge.

Unique and lightweight little folding knife.
