Sheath knife- Big Olive

A modern re-imagining of a 17th century hunting knife. Great for bushcraft, camping and wild cooking!
This hand forged knife combines some of the best elements from a range of historic knives for an end result that is functional and unique.
 Forged on a charcoal fire, the high carbon steel blade has been shaped to a spear point and fitted to a cow horn and olive wood handle with a full through tang. This holds the handle securely in place while keeping the overall weight of the knife down. 
Although the blade has been fully ground, some forge marks have been left for a more rugged appearance. Ferociously sharp, a micro bevel has been added to aid edge retention. 
Included with the knife is a hand made sheath, made of veg tan leather, dyed brown and then engraved by freehand to reveal a 17thc style floral decoration.
