Ulu- Large
Rooted in traditional Arctic knife design, the Ulu is a distinctive and highly versatile tool with a curved blade designed for a rocking cutting action. Often associated with chopping herbs or slicing pizza in a modern kitchen, its uses extend far beyond the chopping board.
This larger version brings the Ulu firmly into the kitchen, with an enlarged blade and handle designed to provide a generous cutting area and a substantial, comfortable grip. Its distinctive shape offers an alternative to conventional kitchen knives, particularly for those who find standard knife designs less comfortable or simply want something different on the chopping board.
The broad AEB-L stainless steel blade is well suited to chopping vegetables, slicing ingredients and handling a variety of everyday preparation tasks. Its curved edge encourages a rocking action that can make repetitive chopping feel natural and controlled, while the wide blade provides plenty of room for gathering and transferring ingredients.
A dyed and stabilised handle gives this version a contemporary finish, complementing the bold proportions of the blade while providing a practical alternative to traditional wood and antler. Although designed primarily for kitchen use, it remains capable of handling camp cooking and other general cutting tasks. Its larger size, however, makes it less convenient to transport than the smaller versions.
Distinctive in both shape and function, the Large Ulu offers a different approach to everyday food preparation, combining a traditional blade concept with modern materials and a design intended for regular kitchen use.
